Two months after announcing their partnership, National Geographic and G Adventures have revealed their first 70 global tours.

The new range of National Geographic Journeys went on sale this week and cover destinations across the world. The companies described the new product range as “accessibly priced, experiential tours”.

“We are thrilled to be embarking on this great adventure with National Geographic,” said Jeff Russill, G Adventures’ vice president for product innovation. “We look forward to sharing these new Journeys with consumers and agents, and we’re confident that these products will deliver extraordinarily special experiences for both the first-time and seasoned traveller.”

The new National Geographic Journeys last from seven to 21 days and most are priced from US$1,500 to US$5,000 per person (not including flights).

They cover all six inhabited continents and include African safaris, gorilla discoveries in Uganda, cruises along the Ganges in India, adventures in Bhutan and Myanmar, explorations of Australia and New Zealand, festivals in Central America, river-barge holidays in the south of France, and tours of Machu Picchu and the Amazon.

Each National Geographic Journey tour will be led by a local guide, known as a ‘chief experience officer’, and most groups will be limited to 16 guests or fewer.

According to the companies, they will introduce travellers to an “eye-opening variety of experiences that range from educational and thought-provoking to awe-inspiring and truly wild”.
