Norwegian Cruise Line has announced that it will be expanding its offshore activity package to include new experiences, making the most of the line’s private Caribbean island.
Great Stirrup Cay, a 250-acre piece of land in the Bahamas, will host a ‘Stingray Encounter’, ‘Fate of the Fancy Snorkel Adventure’ and ‘Lighthouse Beach Bar’.
The experiences are part of an ongoing US$30 million enhancement project.
The Stingray Encounter will see guests interact with 18 specially trained stingrays, with staff enabling guests to hold, feed and watch them. The snorkel experience, taking in one of the most popular activities on the island, will be set on a new trail, specially designed to take in the best locations. The new ‘Lighthouse Beach Bar’ is going to be completely redesigned in collaboration with Patron. The bar will be open in September 2012.
