Nepal registered an increase of 19.8% in visitor arrivals in the first half of 2012. The country received 294,019 tourists as compared to the corresponding period last year. According to the data released by the Immigration Office at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, the month of June received 43,238 tourists with a 16.2% growth as compared to the June 2011. Indian arrivals to Nepal registered a healthy growth of 12.7%, while visitors from Pakistan rose 36.5%.
