The Rio Group of Hotels has opened a new luxury resort in the Indian resort of Goa.
The company, which already owns and manages Goa’s Resort Rio, has now unveiled its latest property, the Rio Royale. Located in north Goa, the new hotel is said to be “inspired by the famous temples of Khajuraho”.
It offers 60 suites, each of which comes with a private balcony, master bedroom and a bathroom with a large bath tub.
“We are overwhelmed with the response we have received for Resort Rio and are pleased to present Rio Royale, which offers the highest standards of luxury and hospitality,” said Anup Shah, managing director of the Rio Group of Hotels. “The idea behind launching this new resort was to introduce our esteemed customers to an entirely different level of extravagance.”
This extravagance extends to the Sweet Caju restaurant which serves Goan, Indian and Asian cuisine, the 24-7 Café Royale lounge, an outdoor pool with swim-up bar, a spa, fitness centre and kids’ club. Guests can also dine outdoors at private candle-lit tables.
And for the MICE market, Rio Royale features a 175m² banqueting hall.
Alpa Shah, director of the Rio Group of Hotels, commented; “Our goal is to make a lasting impact on the local economy by creating jobs and opportunities. Eighty percent of our staff are locals. The concept, designing and interiors is all done in-house. We are confident that Rio Royale will set a benchmark by providing guests a chance to indulge themselves in a royal experience like never before at our resort.”
