A new boutique hotel is to open on the Las Vegas Strip under a partnership between Caesars Entertainment Corporation, Gansevoort Hotel Group and Victor Drai.
The hotel, named Gansevoort Las Vegas, is to be built in the building that is currently Bill’s Gamblin’ Hall & Salloon (next to The Flamingo) and is due to open in early 2014.
The property will undergo a US$185 million renovation and include 188 apartment-style rooms including 19 suites.
Facilities will include the Drai’s Beach Club and Nightclub with an indoor and outdoor nightclub with the legendary After Hours by Drai night to return to the same location. Other facilities will include a 40,000 square-foot casino, lobby bar, ultra-lounge, retail outlets and a restaurant overlooking the strip.
“Gansevoort Las Vegas will be a completely unique upscale lifestyle experience in Las Vegas,” said Tariq Shaukat, executive vice president and chief marketing officer at Caesars Entertainment. “It will set a new standard of fun and modern luxury which only Gansevoort Hotel Group, Victor Drai, and Caesars Entertainment can create.”
The redevelopment is part of several changes made by Caesars Entertainment to its Las Vegas hotels in the past few years, which saw the Harrah’s development open and renovations take place at Flamingo.
