New initiatives from Qatar Airways announced

The IATA World Passenger Symposium witnessed a lively debate with Qatar Airways Group chief executive, HE Akbar Al Baker.
Al Baker was interviewed by BBC correspondent, Rajan Datar in front of more than 500 senior attendees from aviation world. Al Baker shared his own expertise on passenger experience, the future of cabin service trends, global alliances and Qatar Airways’ own approach to ensuring a leading edge.
Al Baker also disclosed that Qatar Airways will shortly roll out its own New Distribution Capability (NDC) initiative with Farelogix following a successful pilot programme.
“The passenger experience is key when it comes to governing operations of an airline. We must drive forward overall passenger experience to make journeys seamless and safe,” said Al Baker.
Aimed at enhancing capability of communications between airlines, travel agents and intermediaries, the NDC will provide all users with a personalised and dynamic interface.
