Windstar Cruises has launched new packages for the Monaco Grand Prix next year.
The yacht-style cruise company has introduced two options linked to the racing event that include the opportunity to see it in action.
The first, a Grand Prix themed cruise, will depart on 21 May 2014 onboard Star Pride. The voyage will be hosted by ex-Formula 1 pit reporter John Bisignano and includes seats in the Grand Stand on both the qualifying and final days on 24 and 25 May. Also included is a post-race cocktail reception at the Hotel de Paris; a gift package and a total of seven nights on the cruise round-trip from Rome Civitavecchia.
In addition there is an option to buy a Grand Prix excursion package for both days on the ‘Yachting the Riviera’ cruise departing 20 May 2014. This itinerary will depart on Wind Surf on a round-trip cruise from Rome to visit Portoferraio, Portofino, Portovenere, Nice and Monte Carlo.
“Windstar’s Grand Prix of Monaco packages offer the ideal opportunity for guests to cruise through all the pleasures of the Riviera combined with a chance to take part in one of the most important and prestigious automobile races in the world,” said Hans Birkholz, Windstar Cruises’ chief executive officer.
“These experiences are just another way Windstar is able to bring its guests closer to the local flavour of each region we sail to,” he added.
