Carlson Rezidor has opened a new Radisson Blu resort in India’s Western Ghats, the mountain range in Maharashtra.

The new-build Radisson Blu Resort & Spa Karjat is located in a popular destination for local travellers, located just two hours’ drive from Mumbai and Pune.

It offers 102 rooms and suites, an Olympic-sized swimming pool, children’s pool, outdoor jacuzzi, spa, fitness centre and a “children’s activity zone” with video game arcade. F&B options include a restaurant, lounge and poolside bar, and the resort also features more than 2,600m² of function space including a ballroom and two event lawns.

“We are excited to… to launch this upper upscale resort. This resort’s opening reinforces our commitment to enhance the brand’s portfolio and further expand our presence in resort destinations throughout India. With its unparalleled resort experience and commitment to excellence, we are confident Radisson Blu Resort & Spa Karjat will be a shining success,” said Raj Rana, Carlson Rezidor’s CEO for South Asia.

The new property becomes the Radisson Blu brand’s 29th location in India, and continues Carlson Rezidor’s rapid expansion in the country.
