Wyndham has added a new Ramada property in Australia.
The Ramada Resort Phillip Island, which is located in the Bass Strait off the coast of Victoria, was formerly run by Accor as the All Seasons Phillip Island Resort.
In addition to the franchise agreement with Wyndham Hotel Group, Wyndham Vacation Resorts Asia Pacific has also acquired the common areas and a number of villas which will transfer into its WorldMark South Pacific Club by Wyndham, for use by its network of timeshare owners.
“The rebranding of Ramada Phillip Island is an integral step in our company’s strategic direction to grow our portfolio in key tourism destinations with properties that are suitable for both hotel and apartment-style vacationing,” said Barry Robinson, Managing Director of both Wyndham Vacation Resorts Asia Pacific and Wyndham Hotel Group in the South Pacific.
“Phillip Island, as identified and communicated by the Victorian Tourism Board, is one key tourism and event destination in Victoria that appeals to both domestic and international travellers with over 3.5 million people visiting the island annually. We immediately recognised this resort as an ideal holiday destination to complement our recent Torquay acquisition,” he added.
Ramada Phillip Island features 211 free-standing villas situated in 26 hectares of grounds. Facilities include a restaurant and bar, conference rooms, a swimming pool, tennis courts, kids’ playground, barbecue areas and walking tracks.
The resort is located less than two hours’ drive from Melbourne.
