A new shared minibus transfer service is to launch next week for skiers heading to Meribel, France.
The transfer, arranged by Snowcarbon, will take passengers from Moutiers station to their hotel or chalet at a fixed cost of EUR20 and is aimed at solo travellers and couples who would otherwise have to spend EUR65 for a private taxi.
“Last season, bizarrely, the last public transport Saturday bus would depart for to Méribel 13 minutes before the Eurostar Ski Train arrived carrying hundreds of skiers. This meant that the only choice for skiers was to take a private taxi or walk. So it makes sense to create a shared transfer that meets this popular train,” said Daniel Elkan, co-founder of Snowcarbon.
