A new website helping travellers to plan holidays has been launched.
The site, called Secret Earth, has launched on an invitation-only basis first with information on hundreds of guides, activities, hotels, restaurants and bars.
Users can search for options based on the category of activity; distance from current location; fly or drive and more and can also book through the site.
Matthew Roach, who set up Secret Earth with John Kat said: “We found there was no middle ground for independent travellers like us between going to a specialist tour operator, or going it alone and sifting through literally hundreds of websites giving tips and advice and other sites specialising in booking elements of the trip. Our three-stage ‘Discover, Plan and Book’ process brings this all together with quality and intelligently presented content, insider tips and clever planning and booking tools.”
The team also consists of editorial director James Alexander (ex-Time Out) and Katherin Gershon as non-executive director (previously of Abercrombie & Kent, Silverjet and Thomas Cook).
