A subsidiary of Turkey-based carrier Atlasjet will launch flights from London to Erbil, Iraq next month.

In an interview with Travel Daily the airline’s CEO Murat Ersoy revealed its Northern Iraq-based carrier Zagrosjet will operate flights from London Luton Airport to Erbil from July 2014.

Zagrosjet launched in June last year with scheduled and charter flights for passengers and cargo covering the Middle East, Turkey and Europe.

Atlasjet started flights from Luton to Istanbul last month, with plans to move up to a daily service this month.

The carrier also has plans to launch a new airline in Ukraine named Atlasjet UA.
