The National Media Council (NMC) and Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority (SCTDA) recently joined together with the objective of driving growth of the emirate’s tourism and commerce sector.

In light of this objective, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed to strengthen the UAE’s tourism promotion initiatives globally.

The MoU was signed by Ibrahim Al Abed, director-general of the National Media Council and Khalid Jasim Al Midfa, director-general of SCTDA. The MoU will be for a period of two years and shall be automatically renewed for a similar period as per desire of the two parties.

Khalid Jasim Al Midfa, director-general of SCTDA said: “The MoU will accelerate joint efforts to promote the UAE globally. The new agreement builds on ongoing partnership with NMC to share best practices and institutional experience across all key business sectors.“

Last year, a delegation from NMC visited SCTDA offices in Sharjah with regards to strengthening cooperation and coordination between the two entities.
