No quarantine for vaccinated tourists in Seychelles
As vaccine rollout is underway in many countries, foreign travellers who have been inoculated may enjoy a quarantine-free visit in Seychelles.
Seychelles has reopened its borders to international tourists from countries under the Category 1 and 2 lists or if they are arriving via private jet from elsewhere. All travellers are required to present either negative PCR result within 72 hours of arrival or to quarantine for 10 days.
Under the new scheme, vaccinated travellers must provide proof of a negative result from a PCR test taken within 72 hours of their departure and certificate of vaccination testifying that the person has received both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. Moreover, travellers can only travel to Seychelles two weeks after receiving the second dose of the vaccine.
These documents must be uploaded to the Seychelles’ Travel Authorization application portal, along with passport information and flight and accommodation details prior to travellers’ departure.
Children and infants may not need to be vaccinated but will need to present negative test results from a PCR test taken within 72 hours of travel.
