Norwegian Cruise Line has been named “North America’s Leading Cruise Line” for the first time, along with being honoured as the “Caribbean’s Leading Cruise Line” for the fourth consecutive year at the 2016 World Travel Awards, announced Sunday evening at the Caribbean & North America Gala Ceremony in Ocho Rios, Jamaica.
“We are thrilled to once again be honoured as a leader in the travel industry by the World Travel Awards, and celebrate our first ever win as North America’s Leading Cruise Line,” said Andy Stuart, president and chief operating officer of Norwegian Cruise Line. “We sincerely thank the many industry professionals who voted for us, and remain focused on providing an unforgettable vacation experience to each and every guest who sails with us.”
The World Travel Awards has been recognizing and acknowledging excellence amongst companies involved in the global travel and tourism industries since 1993. The annual awards are voted on by thousands of travel and tourism professionals from across the globe and honour travel companies that provide outstanding products and customer service.
Norwegian’s fourteen ships sail a variety of exciting itineraries, from the Caribbean to the Panama Canal, Europe, Cape Horn, and the Mediterranean, as well as the Far East and Asia. Norwegian has eight ships, including the line’s newest ships, Norwegian Escape and Norwegian Getaway, cruising to the Caribbean and the Bahamas during the Winter/Spring 2016/2017 season from convenient homeport locations including New York, Tampa, Port Canaveral (Orlando), New Orleans and San Juan, Puerto Rico.
