One of Norwegian Cruise Line’s new ships will have the largest aqua park at sea, as some of its leisure facilities were unveiled this week.
The Norwegian Escape ship’s Aqua Park will include a new Aqua Racer slide, a dedicated Kids’ Aqua Park, two pools and four hot tubs.
Its Ropes Course has been expanded to cover three storeys and has 99 different elements for passengers to conquer. One Sky Rail will even glide guests out over the side of the ship.
New on the ship will also be a nine-hole Nickelodeon Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Rooftop 9 miniature golf course, a basketball court and a new bocce ball court.
Nickelodean entertainment will be on the ship with visits from characters like SpongeBob SquarePants and activities like Dora’s Dance Party.
For kids a nursery will be introduced with childcare for children aged six months to three years, with an open play area available too. The Splash Academy on Deck 5 features dedicated areas and activities for three to five year olds, six to nine year olds and 10 to 12 year olds.
The teen zone, named Entourage, is on Deck 17 and has a new design that in the evening turns into a teens-only nightclub.
The video below shows more of what we’re talking about. The ship will homeport in Miami when launched in 2015.
