Oceania Cruises has announced three of its ships will go through refurbishments next year in an investment worth US$50 million (GBP30.8m).

All public spaces, cabins and suites on the cruise line’s R-Class ships, Regatta, Insignia and Nautica, will have redecorated with elements to reflect its new Marina and Riviera ships.

These include the addition of the Baristas coffee bar and the Terrace Café, while on the Sports Deck a new mini-golf course, new shuffleboard courts and new deck games will be added.

The new-look Insignia will debut from Barcelona on 8 May 2014, the first since completing a two-year charter. Nautica will then show off its new look from 16 May 2014 from Rome Civitavecchia, followed by Regatta from Vancouver on 7 June 2014.

“We are thrilled to have the opportunity to incorporate many of the best features and interior design elements from our acclaimed Marina and Riviera to Regatta, Insignia and Nautica. Not only does it enrich and enhance the guest experience, it underscores our commitment to providing our guests with a consistently outstanding experience across the entire fleet,” said Kunal S. Kamlani, president of Oceania Cruises
