Luxury line Oceania Cruises is to renovate three of its fleet in a programme of improvements worth an estimated US$50 million.

The work – to be completed on the Regatta, Insignia and Nautica in early 2014 – will take place within a six week timeframe and include work on the suites, staterooms and public rooms. The renovations will bring the ships in line with the fleet’s newest vessels Marina and Riviera.

“This refurbishment programme is an incredible undertaking but we are excited by the opportunity to bring some of the best features of our O-Class ships to Regatta, Insignia and Nautica,” said Kunal S. Kamlani, president of Oceania Cruises. “We will preserve the personality, elegance and comfort of these vessels while furnishing certain areas with the updated décor and amenities that are found on Marina and Riviera. This will ensure a consistent experience across the fleet that we know our guests will love and appreciate.”

The three ships will also have a refurbished Terrace Cafe and the inclusion of a Baristas coffee bar.
After its renovation Insignia will once sail under Oceania colours once again, after being on charter to Hapag Lloyd for two years. The ship will debut on 8 May 2014.

All three ships will have work completed by 6 June 2014.
