Oman Air will continue to grow its South Asian network this year, with the addition of new services to Goa and Dhaka.

The Middle Eastern carrier already operates flights to 17 destinations in the region, including 10 cities in India and one in Bangladesh. And this network will continue to grow this year with the launch of flights to the popular Indian resort destination of Goa on 29 March, and the Bangladeshi capital Dhaka in August 2015.

Oman Air will also start flying to Singapore in late March 2015.

“We are delighted to be opening up new routes to Singapore, Goa and Dhaka, and to be offering our customers even more choice within Oman Air’s continually expanding network,” said the airline’s CEO, Paul Gregorowitsch.

“We know there is strong demand for flights to each of these destinations. We are therefore very confident that the new services will prove extremely popular and I would encourage customers to book as early as possible.”

Flights to Goa will operate four times a week, departing Muscat every Monday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday at 1020, and arriving at Goa’s Dabolim International Airport at 1445. The return flights will then leave Goa at 1615, arriving back into Muscat at 1740.

The schedule of the Dhaka flight has not yet been confirmed.

Goa becomes the 11th destination in Oman Air’s Indian network, following Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kochi, Kozhikode, Lucknow, Mumbai and Thiruvananthapuram, while Dhaka becomes the airline’s second port of call in Bangladesh, after Chittagong.

The Omani national carrier also flies to three cities in Pakistan – Islamabad, Karachi and Lahore – and the capitals of Sri Lanka, Nepal and the Maldives – Colombo, Kathmandu and Mahe.
