Since  2013, Mexico’s international tourism has grown at an annual average of 10%, double the global industry average.

This performance, which includes growing from 24 million international tourists to Mexico in 2013 to an anticipated 35 million in 2016, has catapulted Mexico from 15th to the 9th most visited country in the world, according to the World Tourism Organisation.

It is not hard to see what is drawing so many international visitors to Mexico. In addition to its world-famous sun and beaches, each region offers many diverse and unique attractions. From the ancient temples of Tulum to the leading nightlife of Cancun, Mexico has something for everyone.

As a result of this ongoing growth, airlines around the world are adding new routes, additional flights to existing routes, and upgrading to the latest models with larger capacities in order to meet demand. As of January 2017, airline partners have announced the addition of more than 1,000,000 new seats scheduled in 2017 on international direct flights to Mexico from more than 20 countries.
