Onyx Hospitality Group has opened its first Ozo property in Hong Kong.
The new Ozo Wesley Hong Kong is located on Hennessy Road in the Wanchai area of the city, and features 251 rooms. According to Onyx, the Ozo concept offers guests “less frills, more control”, and with this in mind the Ozo Welsey’s rooms feature a selection of high-tech amenities such as IPTVs, multimedia connectivity panels and free Wi-Fi.
The hotel lobby features an “interactive orientation panel” offering information for guests, while the O2Go cafe will serve light breakfast and coffee. There is also a fitness centre.
“The launch of Ozo Wesley Hong Kong marks the brand debut for Ozo and a huge step forward for Onyx Hospitality Group’s expansion in Asia Pacific. The brand itself offers something different to established hospitality brands and we are really excited to be introducing Ozo’s style and innovation to our first guests,” said Simon Dell, the hotel’s GM and Onyx’s vice president of operations for North Asia.
In addition to standard guest facilities, the Ozo Wesley Hong Kong will also target the events market, with multi-use meeting room called ‘Talk’, which can handle up to 60 people for a cocktail reception.
Following the Hong Kong launch, Onyx now plans to roll out the Ozo brand in Thailand and Sri Lanka.
