Thailand’s Onyx Hospitality Group has unveiled the first of three Ozo hotels it plans to launch in Sri Lanka.

Located on Marine Drive in Sri Lanka’s capital, Ozo Colombo offers 158 guest rooms and suites in four categories: Sleep, Dream, Dream Ocean and Ozo Suites. All rooms come with IPTV, multimedia connectivity panels and free Wi-Fi.

Guests will be able to use a paperless check-in service, while hotel facilities include a restaurant, snack bar, rooftop lounge, fitness centre and an infinity swimming pool on the 14th floor overlooking the Indian Ocean. There is also meeting and event space for up to 220 people.

“After many months of hard hats and steel-toe boots… it gives me, and the team, tremendous pride to announce the soft-opening of the first Ozo hotel in Sri Lanka and to welcome our first guests,” said Damian Ball, general manager of the Ozo Colombo.

“With our innovative great sleep experience offering comfort and value complemented by service delivered in a fun and stylish way, I am confident that Ozo Colombo will be greatly received by both locals and tourists alike.”

Following the Colombo launch, Onyx now plans to bring the Ozo brand to the Sri Lankan cities of Kandy and Galle.
