Philippine Airlines has expanded its partnership with WestJet, offering passengers more connections across Canada.
The new codeshare agreement will allow PAL to place its ‘PR’ code WestJet flights to multiple destinations from Vancouver and Toronto. The latest deal follows the two carriers’ existing interline agreement that has been in place since May 2013.
“This alliance provides our passengers with wider reach, greater travel flexibility and convenience. It also doubles PAL’s network reach in North America from five points… to 10 in one stroke,” said PAL’s senior vice president of commercial, David A. Lim.
PAL currently flies to four North American destinations, Vancouver, Toronto, Los Angeles and San Francisco, and will launch services to New York on 15 March 2015.
