PAL Express has launched its first ever long-haul flights, connecting Manila and Dubai.
Philippine Airlines’ low-cost carrier commenced its inaugural flight to Dubai this week, marking the PAL Group’s continued expansion in the Middle East, following the launch of the national carrier’s new service to Abu Dhabi last month.
The new PAL Express service will now operate five times a week, departing Manila’s Ninoy Aquino International Airport every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday at 1300, arriving in Dubai at 1815. The return service will leave the UAE hub on the same days at 1945, arriving back into Manila at 0815 the next morning.
Flights will be operated using an all-economy, 414-seat Airbus A330-300 aircraft.
“Our flights to and from Dubai will give our countrymen a direct, convenient link to their homeland, and allow them to experience the trademark Filipino service PAL is known for,” said PAL’s president, Ramon Ang.
PAL returned to the Middle East on 1 October 2013, with its maiden flight to Abu Dhabi. It also plans to expand to destinations in Qatar and Saudi Arabia in the near future.
