Pan Pacific Hotels Group has opened a new sales office in Beijing, as it moves to grow its share of the Chinese market.
The company has been ramping up its developments in China recently, with a fifth Pan Pacific due to open in Tianjin this year and two more pipeline projects in Chengdu and Zhuhai.
And the company has now appointed Charles Cheng as director of global sales to head up the new Beijing office. He will be tasked with managing the group’s clients in northern China and driving new business to the group’s properties both within and outside the country.
“The opening of our new global sales office in Beijing and Charles’s appointment mark the latest in the group’s recent chain of developments in China, made in strategic response to the global importance and vast potential of the country’s domestic and outbound travel market,” said Kevin Croley, Pan Pacific’s senior vice president of marketing & sales.
Headquartered in Singapore, Pan Pacific’s global sales network now spans eight cities: Singapore, Shanghai, Sydney, Tokyo, New York, San Francisco, London and Beijing.
