Pan Pacific is accelerating its expansion plans in Asia, with the signing of three new properties.
The company, which currently operates 38 properties, is now expanding its presence in China and Myanmar, including its first ever hotels in the cities of Chengdu, Zhuhai and Naypyidaw.
“Asia Pacific is a key growth region for the group and we are delighted to be making headway in our target markets where we have already established iconic hotels,” said Bernold Schroeder, Pan Pacific’s CEO. “Our… latest management contract signings will complement our existing properties to strengthen the group’s presence across Asia Pacific and win over more customers to our Parkroyal and Pan Pacific brands.”
First to open will be the Parkroyal Naypyidaw. Scheduled to launch in April 2014, the new property will feature 180 rooms, a restaurant, spa, gym, swimming pool and meeting facilities.
Then in 2017, the company will expand its portfolio in China with the launch of two new hotels. The Parkroyal Chengdu will offer 360 rooms, three restaurants, a swimming pool and meeting space, including a ballroom. It will form part of a mixed-use development next to the Sha River.
The Pan Pacific Zhuhai meanwhile, will offer 300 rooms, conference facilities, two restaurants, an executive lounge, bar, swimming pool and gym. It will be located next to the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge, which is currently under construction across the Pearl River Delta.
The Naypyidaw hotel will complement the company’s existing Parkroyal hotel in Yangon, while the company is also planning to launch its Pan Pacific brand in Myanmar. The two new Chinese hotels meanwhile, will join a portfolio of five Pan Pacifics in the country.
