The owner of the Penang Waterfront Convention & Exhibition Centre (PWCC) is seeking an international company to operate the new MICE facility.

Malaysia’s IJM Perennial Development is now inviting interested parties to submit their proposals for the sales, marketing, operations, catering and management of PWCC. The deadline to submit RFPs is 10 July 2017.

PWCC includes a range of function spaces, including a main exhibition hall, grand ballroom and 15 meeting rooms of various sizes, plus VIP lounges, office space and other facilities. It is also connected to two hotels offering a total of 745 rooms.

The centre and its new operator will be supported by the Penang Convention & Exhibition Bureau, which was established last year to boost Penang’s MICE sector.
