Philippine Airlines has adjusted the timing of its Manila–London service.
The four weekly outbound flights will still depart the Philippine capital every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday at 1300, arriving at London Heathrow Airport at 2100. But the return service now takes off from London at 2250 – a slot moved back from the previous mid-afternoon departure – before arriving back into Manila at 2005 the following day.
PAL said the move would give passengers “the benefit of a full day’s stay in the British capital” prior to their departure, as well as “optimising connectivity” with the rest of its network.
The outbound flight from Manila was moved earlier this year from an early morning to an afternoon slot.
“The change in departure times better suits our customers, especially those connecting from our provincial services,” said PAL’s president, Jaime Bautista. “This is just one of the many service enhancements passengers can expect as we continue to improve and build up our London operation.”
PAL relaunched its Manila-London route in November 2013.
