Philippine Airlines has relaunched its frequent flyer programme, promising members more options for earning and redeeming miles.
The new Mabuhay Miles programme now provides greater seat availability per flight, allowing members to redeem their miles for flights even in peak season periods. It also features a greater range of partners, ranging from hotels, retailers and other airlines to financial institutions and telecommunications firms.
There are also two brand new innovations: the Mabuhay Miles Travel Card and the myPALshop. The Mabuhay Miles Travel Card is a multi-currency prepaid card that allows members to earn and redeem miles for purchases made with partner companies, while myPALshop will be an online store where members can earn miles on purchases.
“We envision the Mabuhay Miles programme to be one of the key drivers in making Philippine Airlines the ‘airline of choice’,” said PAL’s president, Jaime Bautista. “We thank our loyal patrons for their all-out support through the years. As part of the PAL family, we shall endeavour to offer them what they deserve – a more rewarding mileage and rewards programme.”
The relaunching of Mabuhay Miles has also included a new logo and strapline, “Life Gets More Rewarding.” Existing members will now be given new cards.
