Philippine Airlines will launch a new service to the Pacific island of Saipan this summer.
Commencing on 15 June 2016, the route will operate twice a week direct from Manila. Located in the Northern Mariana Islands, the US administered territory of Saipan is four hours away from Manila.
“Saipan is home to thousands of Filipinos. Opening this new route will provide our kababayans that much-needed link to their homeland. On top of that, business and leisure travellers from Saipan now have the opportunity to experience PAL’s brand of service that is uniquely Filipino,” said PAL’s president & chief operating officer, Jaime J. Bautista.
The outbound flight, PR1571, will depart Manila every Wednesday and Sunday at 2120 and arrive in Saipan at 0335. The return service will then leave Saipan every Thursday and Monday at 0435, arriving back in Manila at 0645.
