Phuket still shines for Centara

Thailand-based hotel operator, Centara Hotels and Resorts, has said that it remains upbeat about its performance, despite the continuing economic downturn and travel slump. Phuket has given the company cause for optimism, with the operator’s three properties on the Thai holiday island all enjoying occupancy ahead of the industry average, the company’s Senior Vice-President of Development, Jean Marc Garret said, without specifying figures. He added that all three are expect to finish the summer ahead of 2008, in terms of both occupancy and revenue.
