Dubai Parks & Resorts LLC, a Meraas Holding company recently announced plans for Riverpark – the entrance plaza that will interconnect three theme parks. Riverpark will showcase innovative concepts in retail, casual dining options, restaurants, as well as varied indoor and outdoor entertainment.

A one kilometer canal will flow through the development lined with cafés and retail outlets. Water taxis will be added for visitors to navigate the destination. The plaza will also feature an expansive arena for community events, street entertainment and outdoor activities. A tram route and service roads around the plaza is also being considered.

Raed Al Nuaimi, CEO of Dubai Parks & Resorts, said: “Riverpark will serve as a central meeting point for visitors across the three themed amusement parks as well as guests to Polynesian-themed family hotel – Lapita.”

The first phase of Dubai Parks & Resorts being built at Jebel Ali will in addition to Riverpark, comprise three theme parks: motiongateTM Dubai, Bollywood ParksTM Dubai, and LEGOLAND Dubai.
