The second Aviation Safety Culture Summit is fast gaining momentum to be held from 3-4 February 2014. The event is being held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, president of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, chairman of Dubai Airports, chairman and chief executive officer of The Emirates Group.

The summit will witness participation from security, safety and operations across industry organisations worldwide. The event is hosted by Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and will take place at Park Hyatt in Dubai. Nearly 300 local and international stakeholders from regulatory authorities, airlines, airport operators, aircraft manufacturers, pilot associations, safety organisations and air traffic control service providers will gather to discuss key strategies and challenges in improving safety culture across the industry.

The two-day summit will focus on how to develop a global aviation safety plan, how to improve co-operation between partners in the industry and importance of developing necessary human capital and creating training programmes to create a safety culture among the workforce.
