AccorHotels has continued to expand its Pullman brand in Southeast Asia with the rebranding of an upscale resort in Phuket.

The Radisson Blu Plaza Resort Phuket has been taken over by AccorHotels and will be rebranded as the Pullman Phuket Panwa Beach Resort in April 2016.

This marks the continuation of Pullman’s expansion strategy, which has recently seen it rebrand the Prince Hotel in Kuala Lumpur and Grand Millennium Hotel in Bangkok.

“We are thrilled to add Pullman Phuket Panwa Beach Resort to our network of upscale resorts in southern Thailand where we are currently operating 15 properties,” said Patrick Basset, AccorHotels’ chief operating officer for Upper Southeast & Northeast Asia.

“This joint partnership will offer guests added choice offerings and strengthens our position as the leading hotel operator of luxury and upscale resorts in the region.”

Located in Makham Bay, on Phuket’s quieter east coast, the resort is set on a 350 metre-long beach. It features 211 rooms and villas, four F&B outlets, two swimming pools, a spa, fitness centre and seven function rooms.

The property will become the third Pullman in southern Thailand, following the Pullman Phuket Arcadia Naithon Beach and Pullman Khao Lak Katiliya Resort & Villas.
