Qantas adds Bali flights for holiday season

Qantas has announced plans to operate new seasonal services connecting Sydney with Bali.
During December 2015 and January 2016, Qantas will operate four weekly flights to the ‘Island of the Gods’, using a Boeing 737 aircraft.
Flights will depart Sydney every Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday at 1710, arriving in Bali at 2050. The return services will then leave at 2240, arriving back in Sydney at 0740 the next day.
A total of 33 return flights will be operated, in addition to Jetstar‘s existing 65 weekly flights from Australia to Bali. This means that the Qantas Group will operate more than 600 flights to Bali during the peak Australian holiday season.
“We know how attractive Bali is as a holiday destination, so through efficient use of our aircraft, we’ve unlocked more domestic B737 flying time, delivering on our strategy to offer a dynamic and flexible network,” said Qantas International’s CEO, Gareth Evans.
“It means we can give customers more choice and cater for the spikes in demand we see over the summer peak.”
The Bali services follow the recent announcement that Qantas would add more flights to Hong Kong and Manila, and operate 140 additional international services to Singapore, Jakarta and New Zealand during the peak season.
The airline has also confirmed that it will launch a fourth season of services to Vancouver, with three weekly flights (Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays) running from 30 June to 13 August, using a B747-400 aircraft.
