Qatar Airways has announced it will operate daily flights between Edinburgh and Doha from May 2015.
The airline initially introduced the service five times a week six months ago but will offer a service every day from 1 May 2015.
It will be operated by a Boeing 787 Dreamliner with 22 business class seats and 232 in economy.
“We are pleased to offer even further choice and flexibility to passengers wishing to travel to and from Edinburgh. Offering a daily service to Edinburgh is a clear reflection of the popularity of this route since its launch in May this year and the new daily service will allow Qatar Airways to further support and promote Scotland’s leisure and business opportunities to different markets on our airline’s global network,” said the airline’s chief executive Akbar Al Baker.
Each service will depart the Scottish city at 14.30 arriving in Doha at 23.30, while the return leg departs Doha at 07.45 landing in Edinburgh at 13.00.
Rival Etihad Airways has also announced flights from Edinburgh to Abu Dhabi starting in June 2015.
