Qatar Airways is expanding its African presence.

The airline effective 1 July 2015 will launch flights to Zanzibar in Tanzania after Dar es Salaam and Kilimanjaro. The five-times-a-week flight to Zanzibar will operate via Kilimanjaro.

The current Kilimanjaro flights via Dar es Salaam will be made non-stop from Doha to Kilimanjaro commencing 1 July 2015, with return flights from Kilimanjaro to Doha served via Zanzibar.

The Doha – Kilimanjaro – Zanzibar route will be operated with an Airbus A320 aircraft in a two-class configuration of 12 seats in business class and 132 in economy. The flights will be operated on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. The flight QR1355 will depart Doha at 08:50, arriving in Kilimanjaro at 14:20, while the QR1355 will depart Kilimanjaro at 15:20, arriving in Zanzibar at 16:20 and QR1355 will depart Zanzibar at 17:20, arriving in Doha at 22:35.
