Qatar Airways today launched its second daily service to Tokyo, connecting to the city’s Haneda International Airport with its new Boeing 787 Dreamliner.
The new flights will operate direct from Doha, complementing the airline’s existing flights to Tokyo Narita Airport, to give Qatar Airways a total of two daily flights to the Japanese capital.
“Qatar Airways is very excited to further extend our network in one of our most popular destinations. Tokyo, with its rich culture and heritage, has long been a dream destination for travellers all over the world who are looking to explore and experience the fast-paced and vibrant city,” said the airline’s CEO, Akbar Al Baker.
“We are also very pleased that we will be introducing the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, one of the most state-of-the-art aircraft in our fleet, on the route when we commence operations to Tokyo Haneda. I have no doubt that our passengers will truly enjoy all that this aircraft has to offer in terms of an overall enhanced travel experience,” he added.
The new route will depart Doha’s new Hamad International Airport every day at 0735, arriving at Tokyo Haneda at 2325. The return service will then leave Haneda at 0100, getting back into Doha at 0600.
All services will be operated using the Dreamliner, which offers 22 seats in business class and 232 in economy.
As well as Tokyo’s two airports, Qatar Airways also operates flights to Osaka.
