Qatar Airways has partnered with the charity

Qatar Airways has announced a partnership with children’s charity Educate A Child.

The airline, which signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the charity today, will help promote the charity and collaborate on special projects in key markets.

Qatar Airways chief executive officer, Akbar Al Baker said: “Qatar Airways is proud to be associated with such a commendable cause. The partnership we officially marked today represents the common bond we share in spearheading global initiatives that impact communities in a progressive and forward-thinking manner.

“One of our key strengths as a global airline is that we cover the globe right from our doorstep, here in Doha, uniting people together and bridging barriers. The exposure we will generate through our international passenger base will benefit the awareness and involvement levels of the Educate A Child project exponentially,” said Al Baker.

Mary Joy Pigozzi, director of Educate A Child said: “We are delighted to be working with Qatar Airways, and we look forward to working with them to raise awareness of the important work that EAC is doing across the world. EAC has supported over 600,000 out of school children into learning in its first months of operation. We are confident that by building this new level of collaboration, with partners such as Qatar Airways, we will be able to reach millions more in the coming years.”
