Qatar Airways recently partnered with Ooredoo as an exclusive three-year sponsor of on-board Wi-Fi across its fleet.
Effective 17 December to celebrate Qatar National Day, Qatar Airways passengers on all connected aircraft will enjoy free Wi-Fi for the first 15 minutes courtesy of Ooredoo. For those passengers who wish to remain connected, the airline offers an easy payment programme, based on amount of time needed.
One hour of connectivity is just five US dollars, three hours of connectivity at US$10 and for passengers on longer flights have a set price of US$20 for the duration of the trip, regardless of number of hours used.
Guests in Qatar Airways first class cabin on the airline’s A380 will enjoy complimentary Wi-Fi for the duration of their trip.
Qatar Airways group chief executive, HE Akbar Al Baker said: “We believe on-board shouldn’t mean off-line. We understand the need to stay connected while going places. This partnership reflects the values at the core of our new, recently unveiled, global brand positioning – ‘Going Places Together’.”
On-board Wi-Fi is part of the airline’s communications system available on all A380, A350, B787, A319, and select A320 and A330 aircraft.
