Qatar Airways received its first Boeing 787 Dreamliner today from Boeing’s hangar in Seattle.

The aircraft will land in Doha tomorrow and is the airline’s first of 60 to be delivered in the next few years.

Its features include specifically-designed seats and wireless connection in both business and economy class.

The Dreamliner will initially be flown on flights from Doha to Dubai before making its maiden flight between Doha and London Heathrow next month.

“Five years ago, Boeing delivered its first ever aircraft to us, a triple seven. Today, we are witness to stronger ties with the United States and Boeing as we become the first Middle East customer to take delivery of the 787 Dreamliner,” said Akbar Al Baker, CEO of Qatar Airways.
