Qatar Airways to add fourth daily Bangkok flight
Qatar Airways has announced plans to increase in the frequency of its Bangkok flights next year.
From 20 February 2013, the airline will add a fourth daily service on the Doha-Bangkok route. Like the other three Bangkok flights, the fourth daily service will be operated using a two-class Boeing 777 aircraft with business and economy class cabins.
“Our strategy has always been to serve popular routes with multi-frequency flights and Bangkok is an example,” said Qatar Airways’ CEO, Akbar Al Baker. “Bangkok has proved to be an attractive route for us with increased passenger demand from key markets around the world. Now with the additional capacity being introduced early next year, we will be able to offer passengers more choice when deciding to plan their holidays or business trips.”
The addition of a fourth weekly flight to Bangkok will coincide with the launch of Qatar Airways flights to Phnom Penh, the capital of neighbouring Cambodia, which also commence on 20 February next year. Then a month later on 19 March, the airline will launch its inaugural service to Chengdu.
