Qatar Airways will increase the number of seats it offers to and from Bengaluru this summer.
From 1 August 2015, the Doha-based airline will start flying a 335-seat, two-class Boeing 777-300ER aircraft to the southern Indian city. This will replace the 254-seat B787 Dreamliner that currently operates the route, resulting in a 32% increase in capacity.
Qatar Airways said the move was necessary to “meet increasing passenger demand”.
This is one of several capacity increases planned by Qatar Airways in 2015; the Gulf carrier will also add more flights to the Middle Eastern cities of Taif, Al Qassim and Salalah, the Asian hubs of Singapore, Jakarta and Bali, plus the South African cities of Cape Town and Johannesburg.
