Qatar Airways has revealed that Miami will become its sixth destination in the US next year.
Commencing on 10 June 2014, the airline will offer four weekly flights direct from Doha to the Florida hub, aboard a two-class, 259-seat Boeing 777-200 aircraft.
Services will depart the Qatari capital every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday at 0840, arriving in Miami at 1720. The return service will depart the US city at 2115, getting back into Doha at 1420 the next day. Flight time is expected to be 14-15 hours.
“The US is a growing market for us and the addition of Miami as a destination and our membership in the oneworld alliance opens up a multitude of better routes with the Middle East, East Africa, the Indian Subcontinent, and Western Australia to and from the east coast of the US,” said Qatar Airways’ CEO, Akbar Al Baker.
Qatar Airways currently operates to Chicago, Houston, New York and Washington DC, and will add flights to Philadelphia in April 2014.
