In an effort to strengthen its presence in the India market, Qatar Airways recently announced its intent to reinstate its non-stop flights to Nagpur.
The service will commence from 1 December 2015. The re-instated service will take the airline’s total weekly passenger flights from 95 to 102 across 13 key cities in India. Qatar Airways had previously served Nagpur from September 2007 to May 2009.
Group chief executive of Qatar Airways, HE Akbar Al Baker said: “The recommencement of the service is part of Qatar Airways’ strategy to service increasing demand in India. Today, India has the largest number of destinations served by our carrier across any market and we will continue to look for more destinations and additional flights to expand.”
Qatar Airways will operate a daily A320 on the route with a two class configuration – 12 seats in business class and 132 seats in economy.
The flight QR 588 will depart Doha at 19:55 pm and arrive in Nagpur the next day at 02:15 am. While the return flight QR 589 will depart Nagpur at 03:45 am, arriving in Doha at 05:55 am.
