Cunard has revealed that its flagship Queen Mary 2 cruise liner will embark on Chinese voyages from Shanghai and Hong Kong in 2017.

As part of its World Voyage in 2017, the refurbished Queen Mary 2 will depart from New York on 3 January 2017, sailing to the UK and South Africa, before arriving in Australia for two stops in Sydney and two in Melbourne.

The ship will then move to Asia, where it will operate round-trip Hong Kong and Shanghai sailings, before heading back to Europe and the US, via the Middle East.

Maiden calls during the World Voyage will include Kangaroo Island, Hobart, Busselton and Port Arthur in Australia, Brunei‘s capital Bandar Seri Begawan, Keelung in Taiwan, and South Korea’s Jeju Island.

Queen Mary 2’s World Voyage for 2017 will run for 132 days, with the fare for the entire voyage starting from US$22,399. Bookings open on 10 September 2015.
