RAK TDA hosts Iftar, donates to local hospital

Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (TDA) hosted an Iftar to mark the donation of AED100,000 to Ibrahim Bin Hamad Obaidullah Hospital.
Staged at the opulent Al Marjan Tent, Haitham Mattar, CEO Ras Al Khaimah TDA presented the cheque to Dr. Ahmed Abdullah Al Nuaimi, head of Medical Zone, to aid medical care for the elderly patients, and help fund treatments for diseases prevalent in the older generation such as dementia and Alzheimer’s.
Haitham Mattar, CEO, Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority said: “The elderly patients at the hospital are a focus of our ongoing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme. We are committed to ensuring that all generations have access to leading care facilities, doctors and treatments, and we hope our donation will raise awareness of social responsibility to this demographic amongst both residents and visitors alike.”
Al-Naimi said: “We are very appreciative of Ras Al Khaimah TDA’s generous donation for the second year in a row. We are living amongst an ageing population and it is more important than ever to ensure we can provide high quality care; initiatives such as these help us to offer world-class facilities and treatments to our elderly patients.”
Representatives from Ibrahim Bin Hamad Obaidullah Hospital and Ras Al Khaimah TDA attended the Iftar, to mark the donation and enjoy the traditional Arabic cuisine and ambience which the Al Marjan Tent provides.
