Wyndham Hotel Group has expanded its Ramada brand in Queensland with the launch of a new resort on the Sunshine Coast.
The former WorldMark Golden Beach Resort has now been rebranded as the Ramada Resort Golden Beach, following a AU$1.5 million (US$1.1m) renovation. The 130-room resort will cater to both traditional hotel guests and the vacation rental market, with a collection of one-, two- and three-bedroom self-contained apartments.
Facilities include a heated swimming pool, a spa, children’s playground, tennis court, games room, gym, restaurant and bar.
“Ramada is a globally recognised brand known not just for the tremendous quality of its offerings, but the unique, global destinations made available through its ever growing portfolio,” said Barry Robinson, Wyndham’s president & managing director for Southeast Asia and the Pacific Rim.
“Through this rebranding and renovation, we’re opening one of the area’s best resorts to a whole new set of global travellers and sharing all that Golden Beach and the Ramada brand have to offer with them.”
Located just over an hour’s drive north of Brisbane, Ramada Resort Golden Beach becomes the brand’s 14th property in Australia.
