Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad and the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has joined hands to
mutually promote and market each others services and increase tourist flow to Andhra Pradesh.
Through the agreement, the two partners will offer services such as rail tour packages, charter coaches and customised packages to domestic and international tourists. While IRCTC will use its strength to meet the rail-base requirement, Ramoji Film City will bring in their local understanding and strengths of logistics management and customised sightseeing.
Smita Rawat, group general manager of IRCTC told the Hindu Business Line that, “We are pleased to tie up with Ramoji Film City to promote tourism in Andhra Pradesh. The tie-up will allow us to extend not only our packaged services but also market our offerings more widely.”
Citing similar opinion, Ch. Vijayeswari, managing director of Ramoji Film City said, “We realised that the inherent strengths of both organisations would bring about advantages of convenience, cost and customisation for the customer. In turn, tourism in state will receive a big boost.”
Ramoji Film City is an integrated film studio complex spread over 1,666 acres, with one million tourists visiting every year.
