Regent Seven Seas has revealed details of its most luxurious ship to date, the Seven Seas Explorer.

Due to launch in summer 2016, the all-suite ship has a capacity of 750 passengers and will include the company’s new Regent Suite concept – a two-bedroom, 360m² suite that comes complete with a personal sauna, steam room and spa treatment area, plus an outdoor, glass-enclosed seating area.

“We’ve set a high benchmark for Seven Seas Explorer, not only to build a ship that far outshines the current standard in luxury cruising, but to design a ship that will be recognised industry-wide as the most luxurious ship ever,” said Graham Sadler, managing director for Regent Seven Seas Cruises UK.

“Seven Seas Explorer will offer our guests a new level of opulence throughout, from her outrageously lavish suites to her elegant public spaces and superb gourmand restaurants. We cannot wait to share this ship with the world when she joins our fleet in the summer of 2016.”

F&B options on the new ship will include a steakhouse, the Italian La Veranda restaurant and the main dining room, Compass Rose, plus a range of lounges and live musical venues. There is also a two-tiered theatre.

The maiden voyage for Seven Seas Explorer will be a 14-night sailing from Monte Carlo to Venice on 20 July 2016. The ship will then remain in Europe for its inaugural season, sailing 11 voyages across the Mediterranean.
